The Blue Shirt Army from Mt Isa COC did the Global Care Team proud as they generously rallied together to support the residents of Julia Creek, affected by the North Queensland Floods. The teams commitment to lending a helping hand to support those affected by the devastation was a tremendous display of kindness in action.
As you can see from the photographs, many families lost everything in their homes. The team generously volunteered their manpower as they willingly gave their time to help with the first stage of recovery. The pictures alone show the intensity of the clean up process.
Thick dried up mud covered the floors which then had to be scraped and shoveled out in a tediously grueling process. Destroyed furniture and belongings had to be removed and disposed of. The team spirit of mates helping mates was felt by all and has left a positive lasting impression on the town of Julia Creek.
Super effort Mt Isa COC Team, you did Global Care proud and your kindness has changed the world for the better!
